FAQ
About YIEON
1. Who is YIEON?
Crafted from ancient art. Connected to your modern self. YIEON transforms millennia-old crafts into contemporary designs that become vessels for identity. Find the piece that feels uniquely yours—and resonates at first glance. Each work creates a meeting point between inherited craftsmanship and contemporary self-expression.
2. What does the name “YIEON” mean?
“YI” captures connection at first glance and a return to your inner self; “EON” represents enduring time and values made to last. Together, YIEON describes an immediate sense of recognition that can grow into a lasting relationship with an object, its story, and the person you become while wearing it. A Glance, An Eon.
3. What defines every YIEON piece?
Every YIEON piece is defined by three qualities: Legend-Crafted, rooted in time-honored heritage techniques; Uniquely Yours, reinterpreting tradition through modern design; and Presentable, created with gifting in mind. Together, these principles guide how each piece is designed, made, and presented—whether chosen for someone important or to mark a meaningful moment of your own.
Craftsmanship & Quality
4. How does YIEON choose the heritage crafts it works with?
YIEON selects heritage crafts using four standards: immediate visual character, materials with enduring value, relevance to modern life, and a process that can meet consistent quality requirements. Only crafts that satisfy all four are developed into YIEON pieces.

5. Is every YIEON piece entirely handmade?
The making process varies by piece. Key stages such as filigree weaving, lacquer application, and detailed inlay rely on an artisan’s hands and experience, while material preparation, polishing, or other supporting steps may follow standardized processes. Each product page identifies the materials and techniques used so you can understand how that specific piece was made.
6. Will every piece look exactly the same?
No. Natural materials have individual textures. These variations remain within YIEON’s quality standards while preserving the natural traces of material and handwork. Your piece may therefore have small details that make it uniquely its own.
7. How does YIEON ensure the quality of each piece?
Quality control guides every stage of production: repeated sampling before production, inspections of key dimensions, materials, and processes during making, and a final review of the completed piece. This preserves the character of handwork while ensuring consistent quality.
Gifting & Shipping
8. Is YIEON suitable for gifting? Will it come in gift packaging?
Yes. Every YIEON piece arrives in a branded gift box with an ink-violet velvet pouch, making it gift-ready. Whether you are celebrating someone important or marking a moment of your own, the presentation is designed to convey care before the piece is opened.
9. Where does YIEON ship, and how long will delivery take?
YIEON offers standard and expedited delivery within the United States and to international destinations. In-stock orders usually ship within 2–3 business days, while pre-order pieces usually ship within 10–14 business days.
